Quotes from past participants:

It's a well planned and executed brief which enables its participants to gain valuable and useful insights into volunteering.

How many different opportunities for volunteering there are! I came here to accompany my girlfriend, but am now considering to help as well!

Shared their true life volunteering stories that touched our hearts.

Looking at the Tribute to Volunteers, it helped me understand how fulfilling it is to be a volunteer.

Beautiful! Also found out how I can also benefit from being a volunteer.

History of SN Home Volunteers

SN Volunteers

The SN Volunteer group was set up in 1992 by volunteers from the NCSS sub-group known as Aged Base Committee (ABC) in Singapore. We strongly believe that there is more that can be done to let the elderly live more fulfilling lives at the old age home. Our volunteers go to the SN Home on a weekly basis to carry out various activities to keep the elderly patients mentally, physically and emotionally engaged. It has sustained itself all these years through loyalty, friendship and commitment with the mentality of "Yi Qi", one for all and all for one.

Our Mission

To develop a conducive environment for the elderly under our care through building a cohesive volunteer group which attracts, motivates and retains quality volunteers.

Join us as a Volunteer

If you are thinking of doing something different and meaningful on a Saturday, we urge you to join our group of volunteers at the SN Home.

Doesn't it feel good to know that you have at least brought some joy into an elderly's life? A simple smile or appreciation takes you beyond what riches can buy.

What's more, benefit yourself by picking up interaction skills, attending trainings, and befriending other volunteers. These skills can only enrich and add to your life's portfolio.
